“An ensemble of theatre artists draws from interviews with Portlanders to tell a story with – and not just about – our community. While looking back at how we got here, and looking forward with hopes for the city’s future, this original theatrical presentation is grounded in the present moment of a community facing cultural, social, racial, and political pressures.”

The sound design of this production included extensive audio restoration from interviews recorded over Zoom and Facetime, as well as audio recorded on the performers’ and interviewees’ phones. In addition to this editing task, I composed original music and audio underscoring and transitions, weaving narratives into each other as the production examined vastly different experiences of the pandemic, protests against racial injustice, and daily life in Portland, Oregon.
